There are many pull-offs along the six-mile overlook of the Atlantic beaches along A1A. There are covered picnic areas and observation areas from the dune walkovers. One may easily take an impromptu walk on the beach to observe the abundant bird life and the many beach activities. The Flagler Beach Fishing Pier is visible along the horizon.
