Assets / #76705: Historic Log Flume

Water rushes through a log flume, typical of historical logging technology. A system of flumes and dams was used to transport logs. This flume was constructed at a cost of $1 per foot. The 5-mile-long wooden flume used water to flush logs from the woods to a large sawmill on the Columbia River.
